At BPAS we're looking for an Evaluation Researcher to join our team on a permanent basis, for 36 hours per week over Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid role where your time will be spent between home and our office in London.

About the role

Asan Evaluation Researcher, you'll be responsible for designing & deliveringevaluation projects that assess the impact of new clinical practices & operational innovations within BPAS.

You will work on a variety of projects,including scoping & conducting reviews, analysing data, & engaging withpatients & stakeholders to inform service development. Your role will involveproducing detailed reports, presenting findings, & supporting theimplementation of improvements.

Thisis a dynamic position offering the opportunity to contribute to high-qualityresearch that shapes both BPAS services & the wider sector.

About You

You'll be an experienced researcher with a strongacademic background, ideally including a Masters degree or equivalent experience. You'll have expertise in both qualitative & quantitative research methods,with experience in protocol development, data analysis, & report writing. Knowledge of sexual & reproductivehealthcare would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job

  • Conduct literature andscoping reviews on topics related to service redesign, assessing the quality ofevidence and care
  • Design and implement dataanalysis, research, and evaluation to ensure service developments are effectivefrom cost and quality perspectives
  • Develop resources to evaluateservices and projects including methodological frame, data gathering and analysistools, report templates, user guidance and training
  • Write reports forinternal and external stakeholders, publication, and presentation
  • Present findings at academic conferences andother events
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication and laysummaries or social media/blogs for wider dissemination
  • Participate in clinical, project, and research governance
  • Contribute to the strategic development of theresearch and evaluation function at BPAS
  • We are also looking for:

  • Ability to interpret and synthesise data
  • Project management experience and delivering projects within specifiedtimescales

  • Salary: £46,528 - £53,853 per annum, depending on skills & experience. (Salary includes ILW)

  • Educated to a degree in relevant subject to health services research, including both qualitative and quantitative research, or equivalent experience

  • Higher degree, minimum of a masters degree, relevant to health services research (, improvement science, public health, epidemiology)

  • Strong understanding of the methods and skills needed for the conduct and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative studies and evaluations
  • Knowledge of breadth of research design, methodologies and processes commonly encountered in a health and social care research
  • Ability to use Statistical and Qualitative analysis using standard packages (, STATA, SPSS, R, Dedoose, NVivo etc)

  • Knowledge of sexual and reproductive healthcare evidence, focusing on abortion care
  • Contributions to the preparation of grants for onward funding of research.
