Role purpose
The Vodafone Executive Search (VES) team is dedicated to managing executive hiring, market mapping, talent pipelining, and assessment processes across the Vodafone ecosystem.
We believe in the pivotal role that executive leadership holds in driving Vodafone’s success, values, and purpose. We are trusted executive hiring partners for Vodafone’s leadership community, assisting in the evolution of New Generation Telco leadership.
The team is currently in a period of growth, expanding its size and scope across almost all global locations. As part of this expansion, we are seeking to hire an executive researcher to drive external research, uncovering and engaging with key leadership talent for live searches, market mapping, and pipelining. This role involves presenting data to senior-level audiences, taking a data-driven and analytical approach.
What you’ll do
Play an active role in brief-taking with senior stakeholders, capturing detailed business role requirements and ensuring all angles and avenues are covered to provide a solid basis for executing research. Manage a diverse portfolio of projects simultaneously, each at various stages of maturity, including Senior Hires, Market Mapping, and Succession Pipelining. Interpret briefs into search strategies, utilizing the internal ATS, LinkedIn, internal referrals, and all publicly available resources to find talent. Brief and collaborate with Knowledge Analysts, who will support you by providing insights to formulate innovative solutions and make informed decisions quickly during the active research stage. Engage with, qualify, and attract high-quality talent in the market, screening against competencies and cultural values while effectively representing Vodafone’s vision and values. Through research and networking with talent, and partnering with Knowledge Analysts, act as a thought leader on talent within your areas of specialism. Track progress and record data to create an overarching database and talent pools. Create and present progress/update reports to stakeholders, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data. Build knowledge and analytics in key areas of Vodafone’s growth and ambitions. Work on Senior Hire, Market Mapping, and Talent Pipelining projects. Contribute to strategic projects related to team improvement and creating an environment of best practice.
Who you are
At least 2 years of post-degree experience in a top-tier or ‘best in class’ Executive Search firm or function (internal or external). Experience working on Senior Hires within environments associated with large multinational companies, particularly those with high levels of global/ functional complexity, such as FTSE 100 firms. Previous experience in Market Mapping and Succession Pipelining for senior roles within large, complex firms. Strong research skills, intellectual curiosity, and initiative. Demonstrate a high level of expertise in reporting and recording research within Talent Databases, as well as proficiency in Microsoft tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. High levels of independent problem-solving; adept at working outside of a comfort zone. Capability to work under periods of high volume and stress. Ability to thrive in an environment of change and transformation. Articulate and engaging style for interacting with executive-level stakeholders and HR leaders. Attention to detail and strong presentation skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Ability to act with discretion regarding sensitive information and confidential intellectual property. Strong organizational skills; ability to work in a structured manner. Ability to manage ambiguity and operate effectively with simplicity.
