    About your role

    We are currently recruiting for a General Lecturer with experience working with people with Autism Spectrum Conditions,. Beechwood is a specialist residential education service providing person centred care and education for young people aged 16-25 with Autism Spectrum Conditions, learning disabilities and complex behavioural presentations.

    Role Responsibilities

    As a lecturer you will lead the delivery of the college curriculum within your class and/ or curriculum area whilst contributing to the development of support staff, students and strategies. You will plan effectively for lessons and where appropriate work collaboratively with other lecturers in the whole planning cycle. Working in partnership with the residential and clinical teams where appropriate to support the inclusion of all students, encouraging them to become independent learners and to provide support for their welfare.

    Role Requirements

  • To be considered for this role you will be a Qualified Teacher or hold a FE Teaching Qualification.
  • Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of working with young people with ASC, utilising a variety of learning and development skills applicable to young people with complex, severe learning difficulties and ASC

    All staff who work in a service that is registered with Care Inspectorate for Wales (CIW) will be required to register with Social Care Wales from 1st October 2022. You must also be prepared to work towards/undertake the necessary qualifications to meet the requirements to register.
