Job Description:
We are on the hunt for an energetic and ambitious graduate to join our collaborative and forward-thinking team! This is a unique chance to step into the world of executive search, delve deep into market insights, and interact with world-class executives.
We offer comprehensive “on the job” training, evolving your skill set on a daily basis. We will give you daily guidance, feedback, and assistance on all your responsibilities. We view success as a shared endeavor.
Responsibilities:
Year 1
- Researching and speaking to candidates for live executive searches
- Building of “market maps” for executive searches
- Keeping up to date with overall alternative investment market performance and predicted trends
- Supporting the creation and distribution of IMP's marketing publications
- Administrative support, including updating IMP's client relationship management system
- Contributing to IMP's business development strategies and offering your ideas!
Year 2
In the second year, your role will evolve to more commercially focused responsibilities and meeting directly with clients. In this second year, you will have the option to either i) move into an Executive Search Consultant role or ii) become a Senior Researcher.
The Benefits of Joining Us:
- Career advancement: By joining at this stage, you will have an unparalleled opportunity to develop into a key member of our team. This includes an accelerated career path and, if you can prove yourself, a route to becoming a Partner at the firm.
- Quarterly bonus: Based on performance and merit.
- Work-life balance: Our office is in SW4 right by (sometimes) sunny Clapham Common! We don’t “clock watch” people’s lunches or mid-week gym sessions.
- Free gym membership: Part of IMP's Employee Wellness Program.
- Inclusive work environment: All voices at IMP are equally valued. We love different perspectives and ideas.
- International exposure: Our clients are mainly based in New York City! Meaning potential business trips and future opportunities to work abroad.
- Job stability: We aren’t part of a corporate group or larger parent organization. There are no company politics or unexpected downscaling.
- Positive Company Culture: We want people to succeed and be part of the IMP team for the long term. We will do everything to support and grow your career with us.
- Creative and Innovative Environment: We are known for our creative thinking and “out of the box” mindset. New ideas are not just welcome at IMP; they are encouraged.
- Learning and development: We will train you on everything. All you need is a great attitude.
Requirements:
Our main consideration when hiring is cultural fit. We are looking for someone with shared values, work ethic, and drive to the existing team. Attributes we are looking for include:
- Attitude: Possibly the most important of the lot. We are looking for someone who gets in on time, is extremely positive, and has a “can-do” attitude.
- Organisation/Efficiency: The person we are looking for can undertake tasks in a straightforward, well-organised manner.
- Communication skills: It is crucial you are a “people person” and a naturally fluid communicator. The role will require speaking to lots of candidates and eventually, corporate clients.
- Desire to work in a boutique/start-up: We are a small team with big ambitions. This will be our fourth member of the team. It's key that the person joining wants to join a small firm and enjoys the boutique environment.
- Passionate team player: Someone who values collaboration. We are looking for someone keen on making an impact with their work.
