HE Graphic Lecturer

3 days per week ( Mon 5 hours , Tues 2 hours and Wed 3 hours).

South Yorkshire based college.

Temporary for 1 month initally, potentially longer. 

£30-£36 per hour.

  1. Inspires learners (believes in the ability of all learners to achieve, ensures that learning is an interesting, exciting and engaging experience, creates a positive learning environment).
  1. Possesses a command of the subject and demonstrates a commitment to continuous development, (is an expert leader in learning, regularly evaluates own teaching delivery strategies and approaches, seeks feedback from learners and colleagues, takes full advantage of PPD opportunities).
  1. Committed to equality of opportunity and respects learners as equal partners in their own learning, (promotes widening access to success, challenges prejudice and discriminatory behaviour and attitudes, displays tolerance and a respect for others, empathises with learners and seeks to understand and overcome barriers to learner success).
  1. Facilitates the learning of individuals, (shows awareness of different learner needs, uses a variety of different teaching and assessment strategies makes use of e learning tools as appropriate to learner needs, identifies “at risk” learners and implements supporting strategies). 
  1. Provides a structured framework for learning, (shows understanding of retention and achievement targets, recruits with integrity, explains learner rights and responsibilities, pro-active in ensuring the accuracy of data).
  1. Effective team player. (values input and advice and openly shares resources with colleagues, works collaboratively within School/Department/College, is aware of and contributes to the school/departments development priorities). 

You'll have

  • Has a degree in Graphic Design or related subject area

  • Possess a relevant teaching qualification or Fellowship of HEA or substantial industry experience

  • Minimum Level 2 Literacy & Numeracy

  • Has relevant subject expertise which will assist with the further enhancement of the quality of taught programmes within the Department/Faculty.
  • DBS on the update service
