Salary: £39,347 plus £4,000 London Weighting Allowance
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join our team at a modern, state-of-the-art campus in East London.

About the Role

As a Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and impactful teaching across multiple levels, from Certificate (Level 4) up to Master's (Level 7). You will be responsible for delivering a range of modules, including Public Health, Epidemiology, Digital Health Promotion, and more.

With three intakes per year (October, February, and June), you will teach a diverse cohort of mature students, many of whom are from inner-city communities. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who is passionate about supporting student development and widening participation.

As the Health and Social Care lecturer, you will be required to:

  • Deliver 16-18 hours of onsite teaching per week across 4 modules (4 hours each), using a variety of engaging teaching methods.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, enhancing their learning experience.
  • Support other academic functions, including admissions, marking, assessments, and module leadership.
  • Work closely with colleagues to promote student success and engagement.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Public Health, Social Care).
  • UK teaching experience in higher education up to level 7, teaching Health and Social Care
  • A passion for working with diverse student groups and the ability to adapt your teaching style to meet varying needs.
