Global Internship Program:

Exciting Opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Metabolism intern at our Huntingdon site.

As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business and Sales - and are Inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. In addition to department work, we support your professional development and career exploration through program workshops, leadership speakers, employee resource group introductions, new hire panel discussions and small group “coffee chats”.

We offer paid internships for current students in a variety of degree programs, such as:

About the Team:

The Metabolism department provides a range of services for clients to determine the fate of crop protection products within the environment to help determine any potential hazard posed. This includes how these products metabolise in soil, water, plant, sediment and animal systems to identify and characterise the residues and their potential toxicity.

Internship Assignment Summary:

  • Develop competent basic laboratory skills to support duties in primary area of work

  • Maintain study documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines

  • Sets up and performs appropriate analyses in primary area of responsibility based on the study protocol and in conjunction with the study team

  • Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment and perform routine maintenance

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Education/Qualifications/Skills: 

  • Working towards bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry

  • Has experience delivering projects in an academic or professional setting

  • Ability to utilise word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and specialised software on personal computers.

  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues

  • Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership
