Robert Half is partnering with a prestigious, globally recognised equity manager in search of a seasoned and dynamic Investment Team Research Associate.


Location: Central London 5 days in office


The role:


We are seeking an energetic, organised and accountable individual to join the Firm as an Investment Team Research Associate. The role requires a combination of excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and high EQ interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be proactive, anticipating how to efficiently support the investment team, be open minded about improving processes and finding additional ways to support the Firm as we grow and will represent the Firm with a high standard of professionalism both internally and externally


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinating all aspects of the c. 8-10-person investment team’s research administration
  • Developing strong working relationships with each investment team member and various service providers
  • Organising and managing a high volume of meetings/calls with multiple counterparties including public company investor relations representatives, broker analysts and independent research providers
  • Proactively identifying, liaising with brokers, and coordinating corporate access for each member of the investment team (including non-deal road shows, investor conferences, earnings calls)
  • Organising introductions and trials with new brokers and independent research providers
  • Helping monitor research consumption and coordinating broker and research provider ranking and feedback
  • Helping to manage and negotiate contracts and research budgeting
  • Helping to organise team offsites and events


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in coordinating across multiple stakeholders and counterparties ideally within an investment firm
  • Proven ability to work directly and effectively with high performance individuals
  • Strong understanding of the investment world
  • Knowledge of how investment firms interact with sell-side and public corporates
  • Fluency and comfort with working with software platforms
  • High Performance: Accustomed to operating in a high-performance environment
  • Accountability: Natural inclination for care-factor, attention to detail and ownership of outcomes.
  • Organisation: Highly organised and able to efficiently manage many moving pieces in real time.
