a position as
Research assistant IT security
with 100% of the collectively agreed working hours (part-time is possible, please indicate in your application whether you would also or only be interested in part-time employment)
to be filled.
Position: E 13 TV-L
Professional and personal recruitment requirements:
- Completed scientific university degree (Master's or comparable) in the fields of computer science, IT security, physics, mathematics, communications engineering, administrative or business informatics or comparable
- Experience in the field of IT security, ideally in a scientific environment
- Sound knowledge and practical experience in the field of security mechanisms at network, operating system and application level according to the state of the art, in particular VPN, firewalls, security analyses, penetration tests and attack methods
- Sound knowledge in the area of process-oriented IT service and IT security management frameworks according to the state of the art
- Knowledge of the relevant standards of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), in particular the IT-Grundschutz compendium, as well as the willingness to continuously deepen this knowledge
- Knowledge of the relevant standards and laws in the field of information security as well as the GDPR, the DSG NRW, the BDSG and the NRW Higher Education Act
- Experience in project management
- High level of commitment, organizational and negotiating skills as well as a strong ability to work in a team and empathy
- Communication and assertiveness skills
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
Tasks and requirements:
- Implementation of IT security measures based on the BSI standards
- Independent implementation of security analyses and penetration tests
- Independent coordination of the implementation of IT security measures at central network, operating system and application level
- Processing security incidents and coordinating the necessary IT measures in close coordination with ZIM employees and the information security organization
- Supporting the introduction of the BSI IT baseline protection methodology in ZIM's IT infrastructure
- Support with the introduction of business continuity management in accordance with BSI 200-4
- Advice on IT security issues, training and awareness-raising for BUW employees
