Subject:

Open position for a potential inter-institute CNRS CPJ (CNRS Biology-CNRS Chemistry) in Caen (Normandy, France) starting March 2024.The laboratories ISTCT UMR 6030 (CNRS Biology) and LCS UMR 6506 (CNRS Chemistry) are seeking to recruit a researcher as part of a Junior Professor Chair in Caen (Normandy, France) starting March 2024.Main Objective:

To recruit a researcher to develop projects around the synthesis and in situ validation of zeolite-type nanomaterials for applications to brain tumors (e.g., glioblastomas) or other hypoxic solid tumors, aiming to enhance the effects of radiotherapy (RT) or radiochemotherapy.Priorities include addressing radio- and chemoresistance induced by hypoxia and other tumor growth phenomena such as inflammation. Other potential applications for nanozeolites may involve their use as vectors for new internal radiotherapy approaches. The candidate must develop nanoparticles for a theranostic approach, making them visible through multimodal imaging (MRI, PET, etc.).The researcher will have access to the

CYCERON

biomedical imaging platform, which offers extensive equipment in MRI imaging, clinical PET, preclinical hybrid 7T/PET MRI, and radiochemistry (https://www.cyceron.fr/index.php/fr).ISTCT

aims to better understand the pathophysiology of hypoxic tumors (brain-lung), identify new therapeutic strategies targeting the tumor and its microenvironment, and evaluate the effects of anticancer treatments, including RT, on healthy tissues, utilizing in vivo imaging (MRI, PET/CT).LCS

is the world leader in the synthesis of nanometric zeolites and associated nanoporous materials. The candidate will contribute to strengthening the laboratory's original research into customizable smart chemistry tools to provide therapeutic and imaging solutions (theranostics).
