They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Bioinformatician to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing their immunotherapy and infectious diseases programs by leading bioinformatics analyses, particularly focused on omics datasets and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking discoveries that could revolutionise the treatment of infectious diseases.


Responsibilities

• Lead a team of bioinformaticians and collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing guidance and expertise in the analysis of omics datasets.

• Design, develop, and execute bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of omics data, with a focus on genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics datasets.

• Oversee the processing and analysis of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, ensuring high-quality results and data integrity.

• Contribute to the development and optimization of algorithms for the interpretation of complex biological data, driving innovation in the field of immunotherapy.

• Collaborate with experimentalists, computational biologists, and other stakeholders to integrate bioinformatics analyses into the overall research strategy.


Background

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field with a strong focus on immunotherapy and infectious diseases.

• Proven experience leading bioinformatics teams (2-3 people) in an industry setting.

• Expertise in the analysis of omics datasets, with a deep understanding of genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics data.

•Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and expertise in bioinformatics tools and software.

• Strong background in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis and processing.

• Experience with statistical and machine learning methods applied to biological data.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
