SALARY:<br/><br/>£40,000 per annum + Benefits (or pro rata for part time)
LOCATION:<br/><br/>South Kirkby, West Yorkshire (WF9)
JOB TYPE:<br/><br/>Full-Time or Part-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS:<br/><br/>Full-Time<br/><br/>40 hours per week, 08:30<br/><br/>17:30, Monday<br/><br/>Saturday 5 days from 6 per week (Occasional weekend and evening work will be required). Part-Time 20+ hours per week will also be considered

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Stage<br/><br/>Production and Event Management Lecturer<br/><br/>with a creative and innovative approach to teaching production / event management .
Working as a Stage<br/><br/>Production and Event Management Lecturer<br/><br/>you will have a primary commitment to teaching across the organisations education portfolio (short courses, undergraduate and postgraduate) and campuses, contributing to the development of curriculum, under the direction of the relevant subject leaders.
As the Stage<br/><br/>Production and Event Management Lecturer you<br/><br/>will undertake teaching delivery and assessment across courses, delivering both theoretical and practical sessions to learners.
DUTIES
Your duties as Stage<br/><br/>Production and Event Management Lecturer will include (but are not limited to):
Subject Specialism & Professional Expertise
Develop a standing as a scholar and /or practitioner in your field
Work with Professional bodies or relevant industry contacts to develop student or educational opportunities for the course
Engage in subject professional and pedagogy research as required to support teaching activities
Teaching and Organisation and Support of Teaching
Design, delivery and teaching of classes, projects, and other learning activities
Support and guide interdisciplinary collaboration between courses
Deliver classes in both practice and theory to students
Provision of academic and personal tutorial guidance and support to students
Assessment and examination of students
Quality Assurance, Review, and Programme Development
Contribute to the annual review and quality assurance processes of the courses and activities
Ensure that the quality of teaching is of the highest standard
Student Experience
Work with colleagues across the Academy to ensure the highest possible standards of student experience
Ensure that students are appropriately supported and provided with timely and constructive guidance for their academic development and pastoral care
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Professional experience of Entertainment Technology and Production
A primary specialism and demonstrable experience in at least<br/><br/>one<br/><br/>of the following areas for the stage and/or screen:
Event Management
Production Management
Stage Management
Technical Management
Familiarity with contemporary live event performance and production and their cultural, social and industry contexts
A research interest in live events, and related practices and technologies
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
A range of skills in teaching, presentation, and the operational management of learning
Commitment to pastoral and academic support of students
A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or a willingness to undertake such a qualification within two years
Post Graduate Teaching qualification (PGCHE) or HEA fellowship (FHEA) or a willingness to undertake such a qualification within two years
Recent experience of working in a technical or design role in the Live Events or Broadcast Industries
Desirable
A secondary specialism or experience in<br/><br/>one<br/><br/>of the following areas:
Technical Management
Health & Safety for Live Events
Tour Management & Logistics
Venue Management
Artist Management
Floor/studio Management for Film & TV
Familiarity with international and alternative developments in live event production
Existing and up to date DBS or CRB assessment
Experience of teaching at post-compulsory or undergraduate level
Familiarity with developments in learning and teaching in vocational higher education
