Hours: 22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE)

The Role
You are required to teach the Level 1 Art & Design curriculum awarded by UAL (University of the Arts London), which involves planning and delivering outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment. You will also teach AQA A-Level Art as part of this role and report to the Head of Sixth Form.
The Creative Arts department at our College has a strong external reputation for delivering flagship UAL provision and we are looking for someone who can continue to support this and further develop its curriculum to support local and national demand.
What we are looking for
You should have a minimum UK level 4 qualification or ENIC equivalent in a related subject and a PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification. You will need a broad knowledge and experience of the art & design industry along with requirements for HE progression alongside well-developed strategies for engaging and managing learners to develop their understanding and perspectives of the art & design area. Experience of writing assignments and assessing student work against awarding body grading criteria is also essential.
