Role Title: Lecturer in Beauty
Location: Yale
Contract Type: Part Time (0.6 FTE, 22.2 hours per week), Fixed Term (Sept 2025)
Salary: £30,620 - £47,331 (Pro Rata) (Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine)
Coleg Cambria is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Beauty to join our team at the Yale site. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching, preparing engaging educational materials, and assessing students' work. You will provide educational guidance and support, act as a personal tutor, and assist in the recruitment and interviewing process for prospective students. Additionally, you will be involved in marketing, planning, and evaluating course offerings, collaborating with other tutors to enhance curriculum and resources. Effective communication with student sponsors and employers is essential, along with maintaining meticulous documentation and adhering to college policies to improve retention, recruitment, and achievement targets.
Participation in the organisation’s self-assessment procedures, external inspections, audits, and verification activities is required, as well as monitoring and evaluating learning sessions. You will contribute to continuous improvement through regular teaching observations. This role may also involve supporting special functions and events organised by the business area. Essential Requirements
A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.
Educated to a minimum Level 4 qualification
Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
