Lecturer in Business
Here at Bournemouth and Poole College, we are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Business on a full-time, permanent basis. In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £28,372 - £39,198 per annum FTE.

The Role:
As our Lecturer in Business, you will deliver high-quality and effective teaching and learning to Bournemouth and Poole College students from Level 1-3 Business Studies, including T-level. The post holder will also act as T level Lead and personal tutor to students. Department consists of five areas: Business, Leadership & Management, Tourism, Sport and Uniformed Public Services.
Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Business will include:
- To contribute to the development and delivery of all our Business courses
- To contribute to high-quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods based on current best-available practices, including Internal verification.
- To create an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment
- To provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures
- To participate in the College's appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate.
- To provide student progress reports for parents/carers and employers as appropriate
As our Lecturer in Business, you'll ideally have:
- Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
- Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years
- Graduate in relevant subject area
- Minimum Level 3 or Graduate in the relevant subject area, such as L3 BTEC Business/ BA in Business
- Vocational expertise within Business, Finance and Marketing
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of requirements of examining bodies such as Edexcel (Pearsons) and City & Guilds for L1-L3 Business courses
- Communication skills including written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills
- Focused on team working
- The ability to teach students of all ages
- Proven ability to plan and organize own workload
