Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Childcare to join an FE college in Hartlepool . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring the next generation of childcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Curriculum Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and seminars in Childcare and Early Years Education.
- Develop and assess coursework, assignments, and examinations in line with the curriculum.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse student needs and learning styles.
Student Support and Mentorship
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, ensuring their personal and professional development.
- Act as a mentor and advisor for students undertaking projects, placements, or research.
Curriculum Development
- Collaborate with colleagues to review and enhance childcare-related modules and programs.
- Ensure that course content aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Research and Professional Development
- Conduct research in areas related to childcare, child development, or early years education.
- Stay updated with current developments and best practices in childcare and integrate them into teaching.
Collaboration and Administration
- Participate in department meetings, planning sessions, and staff training.
- Contribute to recruitment, admissions, and promotional activities for the childcare program.
