The School is seeking to recruit an ambitious full-time staff member with an active interest in teaching, research and enterprise. Only those with Qualified Teacher Status and successful experience in teaching Computing in Key Stages 3 and 4 will be considered for shortlisting. It is an essential criteria for the School and its QTS programmes. 

The School includes a range of undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher training (ITT) courses in early years, primary, secondary and post compulsory education. For this post we require a Computing specialist who has experience of teaching in UK secondary schools. The post holder will teach on our ITT courses and will undertake school visits. The post holder will play a key role in supporting and delivering a range of education units across a range of courses. A specialism in computing education is required. 

You will require knowledge and understanding of national and international perspectives and areas of contemporary research and development in the field of education. You will have a doctorate, or substantial teaching/professional experience, and a publication record commensurate with your grade and role. It will be offered at grade 7 or grade 8 and with a focus on research and/or professional practice.
