About you

 

You will have a proven background in the social science of health or related areas and have experience in the delivery of high-quality teaching and assessment materials. You will have experience of teaching and use of learning technologies and ideally hold a relevant teaching qualification.

The successful candidate will be ICT literate and have the potential to lead modules and programmes in HE settings. A track record of effective partnership working (internal and external) to develop scholarship and employability opportunities would be advantageous.

You will be highly disciplined, organised, supportive, and able to work collegiately within a team. The ability to produce research publications, successful grant applications, and/or generate income, would be welcomed.

Qualifications 

Essential:

  • Degree qualification or equivalent in Health Sciences/Studies, Psychology or Social Sciences
  • Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA, or willingness to obtain within an agreed timescale
  • Desirable:

  • Master’s degree in relevant subject
  • Doctorate in relevant subject, completed or within 12 months of completion
  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Faculty 

    You will join a growing and collegiate Life Sciences team, based in the Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology.

    The Life Sciences division is part of the Science Subject area, along with Environmental and Geographical Science, Sport and Exercise Science. This is a particularly good time to join us at the University’s £330 million Waterside Campus based in Northampton Town. Therefore, you will benefit from purpose-built teaching and research facilities, a supportive team, and well-established and sustainable links with our regional partners.
