- £35,810 Per AnnumClosing Date: Sunday, 5th January 2025The Higher Education Blended Learning department is actively recruiting an experienced Lecturer in Sport Science with a particular focus on the Social Sciences. The Role This post will play an integral part of our Blended Degree provision which consists of a suite of Pearson Higher Nationals as well BSc Degree programmes in Sport and Exercise Science and Sport Coaching with Development. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a progressive, learner focused department that places innovative teaching, learning and assessment at the forefront of their professional practice. For this role, you will have experience of teaching undergraduate students within your specialist areas of Applied Sports Coaching / Development, Sport as a Tool for Social Change and Optimizing Wellbeing, as well as other related disciplines.

You will also have the ability to contribute towards the delivery and assessment of Qualitative/Quantitative Research Methods as well as the supervision of student research projects. This role is a full time position with an fixed term contract of 12 months.

Moreover, the post requires regular travel throughout the UK to support our blended learning students. The Applicant You will have a commitment to student centred learning including teaching and curriculum design, underpinned by scholarly activity, research and/or experience as an applied practitioner.

Experience of delivering blended learning programmes using virtual learning environments and a variety of digital teaching technologies and eLearning tools is an advantage. To be successful you will have both a Masters and undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline to the post, a teaching qualification (or willingness to work toward one), along with teaching experience in HE. The College is striving to attract, develop and retain the very best people by offering a motivating and inclusive workplace in which talent is truly recognised.
