Job Description

The Department of Design Engineering and Mathematics is seeking to expand its provision in Automation and Mechatronics and is looking to appoint a full-time Lecturer in Mechatronics. This role will suit a colleague who would welcome innovation and teamwork with a strong student-facing role who can combine excellent teaching, learning, research, and knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable commitment to practice-led teaching, learning, and assessment to help expand our portfolio of courses with their expertise in automation and mechatronics related areas.

This is a dynamic and progressive department, flourishing with its innovative curriculum and practice. Research in the department focuses on Engineering, Modelling and Optimisation, Robotics, and Digital Twin research. The department also supports the London Digital Twin Research Centre (www.dt.mdx.ac.uk) and its broad research activity which has become one of the leading centres in the UK. The department has a sustained network of industry engagement and has built several strategic partnerships, some spanning over three decades.
