About the Role

We are offering an exciting opportunity to become a Lecturer in Mental Health in Mental Health (Teaching & Scholarship) at the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health in the Wolfson Institute for Population Health at Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL). The Centre has an ambitious and growing portfolio of internationally-leading teaching and research across the life span, across Whitechapel and Newham sites.

This is a primarily teaching and scholarship position. The successful candidate will make contributions to student education and experience through curriculum development and the delivery of teaching activities on the MSc in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health.

The position is an 11 month Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover) and will be based at our Whitechapel Campus. Starting salary will be £50,685 (pro rota for part time), inclusive of London Allowance.

About You

You will contribute to the intellectual life of the Wolfson Institute of Population Health and wider institution and research field of mental health. You will make contributions to student education and experience through curriculum development and the delivery of teaching activities in the subject area of mental health. You should ideally have experience of teaching quantitative research methods at either undergraduate or postgraduate level, and should be comfortable supervising MSc level research. You will have a PhD or professional doctorate in a subject related to psychology or psychiatry, or be due to awarded this within the next three months.
