About the role

We have an exciting lectureship opportunity with 70% research and 30% teaching split. You will hold and consolidate an imaging neuroscience research programme of excellence within the broad field of cognition and perception.

The teaching component of the post will focus on the recently launched BSc in Human Neuroscience, which is led by the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology within the Faculty of Brain Sciences. You will be the module lead on the Perception and Cognition module and will co-lead on the Research in Practice placement for this course.

You will work with some of the world’s leading neuroscientists and their research groups within the Department of Imaging Neuroscience.

The post is available immediately and on a permanent basis on the academic track.

About you

With a PhD in neuroscience or cognate discipline,you will have teaching experience alongside a proven record of providing pastoral care for students and obtaining research funding.

Committed to excellence in research and teaching, you will have the ability to lead and inspire others, and act as an ambassador for the Department. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role.

This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL welcomes applications from international applicants who require a visa.
