Job Advertisement: Lecturer in Production and Performing Arts and Employability 

Are you looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking environment? We are urgently seeking a Lecturer in Production and Performing Arts and Employability.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 36 hours per week (23 hours teaching, 13 hours desk duties)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Location: Romford, East London

Role Responsibilities:

  • Teach effectively on a range of programmes across the college curriculum, including timetabled lessons, cover, and bespoke provision.
  • Prepare and deliver innovative and engaging teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
  • Develop and maintain the curriculum area’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and incorporate digital technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Participate in college events, such as open evenings and promotional activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous review and development of the college’s programmes.
  • Engage in professional development and scholarly activities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience teaching BTECs in Performing and Production Arts at all levels.
  • A teaching qualification (e.g., Certificate in Education or equivalent).
  • 2-5 years of recent industry experience in Performing/Production Arts (preferred).
  • Experience working in a College/FE College.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Assignment Details:

  • Start Date: As soon as possible.
  • End Date: 20th December 2024, with a possible extension to February half term 2025.
