About the Role:

We are looking for a Lecturer in Science to join us at The Tresham College, As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of course from Level 1 to Level 5.
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities
  • keeping CPD in industry knowledge up to date.
  • About you:

  • Degree in a relevant subject
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument or willing to work towards it.
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent
  • Vocational experience in the Science sector
  • Knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
  • Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any
