Location: Central Bedfordshire College – Dunstable Campus

Salary/ Benefits: From £31,000 (pro rata) DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave (plus public holidays), Teacher's Pension, Retail and leisure discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

About the role:

We are looking for a Lecturer in Pathways to join our Foundation Learning department at Tresham College. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Managing students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
  • About you:

  • Certificate in Education qualification ( or willingness to work towards)
  • Experience working in the relevant industry
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
  • Experience teaching in a Further Education environment
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing.
