    About the Role:

    The School of Allied Health is building on the successful delivery of a number of courses across the allied health professions, science and leadership. We are seeking a new team member to teach on our ODP programme. Working closely with fellow academics and clinicians you will lead several modules and take responsibility for designing and developing the associated learning and teaching material.

    The BSc. ODP and Apprenticeship degree ODP courses are delivered at both our Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses. The ODP programmes sit within the School of Allied Health. The School has achieved Royal College of Surgeons University Programme Accreditation for its surgical courses and is committed to growing the innovation and expertise within these programmes.

    This post will include teaching on the BSc. and apprenticeship ODP courses as well as any other shared areas of interest. The successful candidate will be required to continue to maintain some degree of clinical exposure alongside this role to maintain competency and currency.

    With a higher degree related to Operating Department Practice and relevant clinical experience, the successful candidate will be registered with HCPC. Experience of ODP curriculum design and of teaching at Higher Education level would be preferable. The successful candidate will be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and will also have excellent written and oral communication skills.
