Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer (Mental Health Nursing)

We are seeking passionate and experienced Mental Health Nurses to join our Mental Health Nursing team. Successful candidates will contribute to the delivery and development of our pre-registration mental health nursing programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Depending on your qualifications and experience, you will join us as either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, with opportunities to:

  • Lead and develop mental health nursing programmes.
  • Teach and support students in their academic and professional journey.
  • Take on leadership roles and engage in school-wide activities.
  • What We are Looking For

    We welcome applications from clinically or educationally experienced mental health nurses who meet the following criteria:

    Essential:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Experience in supporting learners in practice or educational settings.
  • Evidence of teaching or facilitation within clinical or educational environments.
  • Desirable:

  • Experience in module or programme leadership.
  • Strong understanding of student assessment and feedback processes
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Provide student support, mentorship, and guidance.
  • Lead modules and programmes (for senior roles).
  • Undertake assessments, marking, and curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with an established team of mental health academics and contribute to the wider nursing team delivering pre-registration programmes.
