About the Role:

You will join our School of Life Sciences, working with academics teaching and conducting world-class research in Biomedical Science, Forensic Science, Crime and Investigative Science, and Animal and Environmental Biology, based in our Faculty of Science and Engineering. We are a forward-looking and enthusiastic School with a vision that combines commitment to a strong and active research culture with excellence in learning and teaching.

You will have a degree or relevant professional qualification, extensive post qualification CPD and be a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Biomedical Scientist in any area of Biomedical Science provision. You will join our team of highly qualified staff that deliver a popular and growing course(s) in BSc and MSc Biomedical Science which are accredited with the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS). You will also take responsibility for the management and delivery of our student work placement provision. The appointment will be permanent but a fractional appointment (0.4-0.8 FTE), to allow you to maintain your external profile and professional currency. The appointment does not carry a responsibility for research but this will be encouraged should you wish to participate in research (subject to your workload and agreement with your line manager)
