Lecturer (Teaching) in Radiotherapy Physics

About the role

This is a fixed term teaching post for up to 1 year as replacement for a staff member on secondment. The postholder will have a strong working knowledge of radiotherapy physics and experience of lecturing and project supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. 

The postholder will commence teaching duties in time for the start of the /25 academic year.

About you

The postholder will have in-depth, working knowledge and experience of radiotherapy physics (both clinical and academic), and will be up to date in current developments and advances. The postholder will have experience of lecturing and project supervision at BSc and MSc level, and a strong commitment and track record of working to deadlines.

The main duties are:

  • To supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate, taught graduate (Masters) and research graduate (MPhil/PhD) students.
  • To teach at undergraduate and graduate level in radiotherapy physics and other areas as allocated by the line manager, and reviewed from time to time by the line manager.
  • To incorporate VERT into the radiotherapy curriculum and to contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.
  • To participate in the development, administration, and marking of exams and other assessments.
  • To participate in the administration of the department’s programmes of study and other activities as requested.
