Lincoln College | Lecturer In Clinical Herbalism
Interview Date
15 January 2025
We are excited to expand our team with a passionate Lecturer in Clinical Herbalism! If you have a deep commitment to education and a wealth of expertise, we invite you to teach across our diverse clinical herbalism programs.
In this dynamic role, you will prepare impactful learning materials and assessments as guided by the Head of Learning and Skills/Director of School, while also fulfilling responsibilities as a Personal Tutor and module coordinator.
A core element of this position will be your leadership as the module coordinator for Herbal Therapeutics and Clinical Practice Advanced. In Herbal Therapeutics, you will delve into Materia Medica and Phytochemistry, exploring plant remedies through a traditional therapeutic lens, including vital aspects such as botanical and pharmacological properties and their therapeutic applications. You'll also cover important considerations like treatment indications, contraindications, and posology, tailoring dosage recommendations for elderly patients and children. This role emphasises applying modern scientific research alongside clinical experience to enhance the understanding of medicinal plants, including topics such as herb combinations and the synergy of remedies. Your knowledge and experience in both phytochemistry and traditional western herbalism will be crucial.
In Clinical Practice Advanced, a Level 6 module, you will build upon students' previous clinical practice experiences, equipping them with the essential skills and competencies to confidently enter practice. This coordination requires you to possess up-to-date clinical examination skills and the familiarity needed to evaluate student case reports with an eye toward advanced case analysis.
Join us in shaping the future of herbalism education and inspiring the next generation of practitioners!
