MEDIA MAKE-UP LECTURER

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Media Makeup Lecturer to join our creative hairdressing beauty therapy department. As a Media Makeup Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment to students, equipping them with the skills, techniques, and knowledge required to excel in the media makeup industry. You will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of makeup artists, providing practical instruction in a range of media makeup techniques used in film, television, fashion, and theatre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching and Learning:

• Deliver engaging, informative, and practical lessons in media makeup techniques, including make-up application, special effects, character makeup, and fashion/beauty styling.
• Develop and deliver structured lesson plans, ensuring learning outcomes align with curriculum requirements.
• Provide instruction in makeup artistry techniques, tools, and products used in the media industry, including makeup for different platforms (film, television, editorial, etc.).
• Supervise students during practical workshops, ensuring a safe and professional learning environment.

Student Support:

• Provide individual academic guidance and feedback to students, helping them to achieve their potential.
• Offer pastoral care and advice to students, ensuring they have the support needed to succeed in their studies.
• Monitor student progress and provide support where necessary, including offering additional tutorials or mentoring.
