About the Company

Are you a passionate Epidemiologist with knowledge of Market Access? Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company, is seeking an Outcomes Research Manager to join their innovative team and play a pivotal role in shaping healthcare solutions through real-world data and epidemiological research.


This is an opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research that enhances patient outcomes while working with a globally recognized leader in the pharmaceutical industry. The role offers a chance to make a tangible impact on healthcare decision-making and improve patient access across diverse therapeutic areas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the production of successful epidemiological and real-world data studies to generate valuable insights on disease burden and treatment landscapes.
  • Assist in writing protocols, conducting data analysis, and producing reports and manuscripts for publication.
  • Stay up to date on developments in real-world evidence (RWE) methodologies and the acceptance of these methods by Health Technology Assessment (HTA) agencies and stakeholders in relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Continuously monitor literature for trends in outcomes research, epidemiology, and biostatistics, and engage with stakeholders to improve the acceptability of OR methods.
  • Translate patient access strategies into robust outcomes research plans and ensure alignment with study objectives.
  • Proactively communicate actionable conclusions and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, providing a strong payer value message.
  • Validate outcomes research approaches and results through collaboration with stakeholders.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree (or equivalent qualification) in mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, data science, or a related discipline.
  • Post-graduate qualification (e.g., MSc/PhD) in Epidemiology or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of OR methods, epidemiological techniques, and medical statistics applied to real-world data.
  • Proven expertise in managing and analyzing real-world data, including large datasets.
  • Experience in running OR studies from proposal writing to publication of results.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods in health economics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with databases such as CPRD or other anonymized patient-level databases, and a solid understanding of the UK health system.
  • Proficiency in SQL and R is advantageous.
