About the role and about you
We are the independent charity that loves and looks after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world.
The palaces are the setting for the stories that shape us all, and we’re bringing them to people in ways that mean more to them. We want everyone to find themselves in the spaces and stories we share.
As Philanthropy Research Manager you will be at the heart of the Development Team’s plans to grow Historic Royal Palaces’ income from major donors, charitable trusts and corporate supporters. With fundraising priorities spanning all six palaces, and projects spanning capital builds and heritage conservation to education and sustainability, this is an opportunity to build prospect pipelines from a broad range of audiences. The Philanthropy Research Manager will develop a research plan informed by the Development Team’s strategy. You will work in close partnership with our fundraisers to provide timely and accurate insight which enable the right donors to be approached with the right projects at the right time.
This role is ideal for an experienced prospect researcher keen to build and manage their own proactive research programme, whilst being reactive to the needs of fundraisers and our existing donors. You will have outstanding research skills and a desire to adapt your approach to maximise the impact of your work. You will have an enthusiasm for building relationships with fundraisers and other key stakeholders to support the delivery of excellent supporter experience.
