Postdoc in Nuclear Power Safety
Job description
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to develop methods and codes for safety analysis of Gen-IV systems and to apply new developments in safety studies of a system of interest. This project is contributing to the larger project MÅSTE on sustainable energy supply using Gen IV technologies. The collaborative research of MÅSTE project in Swedish universities is funded by the Swedish Energy Agency.

Qualifications
Requirements
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
- Doctoral degree in nuclear engineering, nuclear power safety, engineering mechanics or similar, with extensive experience in reactor thermal hydraulics (TH), severe accident (SA) research and safety analyses.
Preferred qualifications
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
- Knowledge and experience from using TH and/or SA codes.
- Hands-on experience from lab work related to TH or SA research.
- Good communicative skills, team work competence and collaborative skills, as well as capability to work independently.
- Motivation and dedication to research work is a very strong merit.
- Teaching experience is an advantage.
- Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
- You act according to the KTH Core Values

About the employment
The position offered is for, at the most, two years.
A position as a postdoctoral fellow is a time-limited qualified appointment focusing mainly on research, intended as a first career step after a dissertation.
