POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE GRADE 7
We are looking for an enthusiasticPostdoctoral Research Associate to join the team of Dr NordineHelassa on a British Heart Foundation funded project.
Long QT syndrome (LQTS) is an inherited disorderassociated with increased risk of lifethreatening cardiac events.It affects approximately 1:2500 people and those living with LQTSexperience seizure fainting and potentially lifethreateningarrhythmias. This project uses a multidisciplinary approach toprovide new insights into the molecular mechanism of LQTS andinspire new therapeutic strategies.
You shouldhave a PhD degree in Biochemistry Physiology Cell Biology orrelated discipline. Experience working with proteins confocalmicroscopy or patchclamp electrophysiology would bedesirable.
If you are still awaiting your PhD tobe awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6 spine point 30. Uponwritten confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD yoursalary will be increased to Grade 7 spine point 31.
This is a fixedterm post available for 3 years.
