As part of new ERC Starting Grant funded by UKRI Horizon Europe guarantee focused on development of Operando 4D scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) to be employed to study the degradation processes in beyond Li-ion battery systems as well as implementation of Compressed Sensing signal processing technique to minimise electron beam damage during battery cycling. The goal of both of these sub-projects is to make transformative advances in battery imaging development strategies and workflow by using the unique direct visualisation capabilities available at Albert Crewe Centre for Electron Microscopy at University of Liverpool leading to groundbreaking understanding of processes dominating the degradation performances in energy storage systems. You should have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
