The Postgraduate Education Administrator (Summer School) is an exciting opportunity at Imperial College London for an enthusiastic individual to join the Postgraduate Education Team in the Faculty of Medicine (FoM). You will plan and lead the organisation of the 3-week course, to be run in July on an annual basis.

The team is based in the Faculty Education Office (Medicine) and supports activity related to postgraduate programmes offered across FoM departments, comprising of PhDs, Masters, Diplomas, Certificates, short courses, CPD programmes, and the Summer School.

  • You will join a busy friendly central team and work closely with the Director of the Summer School.
  • You will lead the administration and project manage the Summer School course. With support from the Postgraduate Manager, this will include budgeting, marketing, recruitment, on-boarding, social programme planning and supervision of the student ambassadors.
  • Your role will also include managing the Faculty Postgraduate Taught Staff-Student Liaison Committee, and support Faculty level online and in person events for our postgraduate students.

  • The role would suit an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated administrator seeking to further their career in this stimulating role in higher education.
  • The ability to work independently, managing a busy workload with competing priorities to tight deadlines is essential, as is attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The post holder must have a highly professional approach to their work and possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
