Job Description
Grade 5, £27,979 to £32,332 per annum, pro rata
College of Science and Engineering, School of Biological Sciences
Part-time, 28 hours per week
Open-ended (permanent) contract
We are looking for an experienced, well-organised and enthusiastic administrator who can provide a high-quality service to prospective and current research students as well as their academic supervisors.
The Opportunity:
The successful candidate will provide support for our Graduate School's research students from recruitment through to graduation. Ideally, candidates will have administration experience in a Higher Education setting, with knowledge of University of Edinburgh student regulations and policies, and an understanding of the EUCLID operating system. However, we welcome external applications.
Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office 365.
  • A flexible, friendly and helpful approach.
  • An ability to relay complex processes and policies to a lay audience.

The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days in the office. Flexible working patterns and hybrid work is available.
