About the role
The Centre for Education & International Development (CEID) MA Custer wishes to make appointments for Postgraduate Teaching Assistants for the 2024-2025 academic year.

We are looking for PGTAs who have expertise in education and international development and one or more of the following areas: gender, health education/promotion, educational planning, education in emergencies
The purpose of this job is to support teaching and learning on the MA programmes through individual tutorials, small group teaching and contribution to online teaching materials.
Main duties of the post are facilitating and supporting seminars and online discussion, tutoring assignments as well as coursework assessment and provision of feedback.
Postgraduate Teaching Assistants will be given training in support of their roles.
PGTAs are expected to be able to be present on the Bloomsbury campus during the terms for which teaching takes place, and have good internet access to support online activities.
Please note these roles are only open to UCL Post Graduate Research (PGR) Students.
Allocation of hours and duration of the appointment to be discussed at the interview.
About you
These roles are available from October 2024 to UCL Post-Graduate Research (PGR) students who are registered from 23rd September 2024. The length of the contract will depend on the length of the applicant's doctoral studies, and will be determined at appointment stage.
The postholder will be educated to Masters degree level (or having equivalent experience), in education and international development or related field, and working towards a relevant postgraduate degree (PhD, EdD or other doctorate). You will have will have specialist knowledge and skills appropriate to one or more of the five programmes (see above).
In addition, you have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with students, academic and support staff at all levels, and can work independently for short periods and as part of a team but can recognise when advice / input needs to be sought.
