Principal Research Engineer Hydrogen

As a Principal Research Engineer, youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical quality of engineering outputs across the NCCs Hydrogen portfolio, while supporting the future direction of research in this evolving area. You'll lead some of our major upcoming programmes, working with senior project managers and engineers across the organisation to ensure technical excellence in delivery.
With the wide range of technologies that feed into these programmes, from design to automation, digital engineering to materials, this is an opportunity to boost your experience and take a leading role.
So, what are we looking for?
- Leadership of technical programmes Youll bring experience as a technical leader, with a track record of upholding high technical standards across work packages. While composites knowledge is desirable, its not essential.
- Technology - While composites aren't essential, experiencewith research and product development are.
- Creative Problem Solver Youll have a demonstrated ability to think creatively, make informed decisions, and develop effective solutions, especially in ambiguous and dynamic settings.
- Hydrogen This role plays a crucial, strategic part in our Hydrogen team, so a strong interest or expertise in Hydrogen innovation is important.
