Location: Romford, London

Hourly Rate: £25-30 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Position Overview:

Protocol are working with an FE College in Romford who is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production and Performing Arts Lecturer to join their team at the Rush Green Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to their students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Production Arts, focusing on technical skills, production management, and backstage operations.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them improve.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and contribute to curriculum development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and BTEC Quality Assurance processes.
• Organize and oversee practical projects, performances, and productions, ensuring students gain hands-on experience.
• Support students in developing their portfolios and preparing for further education or careers in the arts.

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Production Arts in Further Education (FE).
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Certificate of Education, or equivalent).
• 2-5 years of industry experience in Production Arts.
• Familiarity with BTEC and Quality Assurance processes.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience working in an FE College setting.
• Experience working in an educational establishment.

Working Hours:

• Total: 18 hours per week
• Teaching Schedule:
  • Wednesday:
    • 9:00-10:00
    • 10:15-12:15
    • 13:00-14:00
  • Thursday:
    • 10:45-12:15
    • 13:15-14:45
  • Friday:
    • 10:45-12:45
    • 13:15-14:45
