PROFESSOR IN ECONOMICS FM

Founded in 1988 Excelia is one of the leading higher education groups in France. With an international presence it comprises a business school a tourism school and a digital communication school. It has 6000 students across its 3 campuses: La Rochelle Centre Val de Loire (ToursOrlans) and ParisCachan.

The school is deeply committed to research with a dynamic and active faculty of 110 permanent faculty members distributed across 5 teaching and research departments. Excelia focuses on 3 interdisciplinary research areas: Sustainable Development and CSR Tourism Management and Agility Innovation and Digitalization (AID).

Since 1999 the group has integrated sustainable development as a strategic pillar of its research and teaching activities. The school conducts research with high societal value notably through its institute dedicated to CSR the IRSI (Institute for Social Responsibility through Innovation). IRSI has set three objectives: Contribute to the development of research in management sciences on CSR and sustainable development; Advance CSR through organizational support and student training; and Evolve frameworks related to social responsibility.

The Strategy/Entrepreneurship/Economics & Sustainable Development Department is recruiting an Assistant or Associate Professor in Economics starting ideally on January 1 2025.

Ability to teach ethics or CSR will be appreciated.
This position is primarily based at the ParisCachan campus though occasional travel between campuses (Tours Orlans La Rochelle) will be required.

Profile/Required Skills

The candidate (M/F) must hold a Doctorat / PhD in economics ethics strategy or related fields. He/she must demonstrate a strong research potential notably through publications and project plans for publications in recognized academic journals (FNEGE ABS and FT rankings) as well as through participation in key conferences. A keen interest in leading research projects is expected.

The candidate must be able to teach in English and ideally in French at both the Bachelor and Master levels. The candidate is also expected to demonstrate innovation in course design and teaching methods. Experience in elearning would be a valuable asset.

Desire to actively engage in all areas of Faculty life is expected and depending on the profile opportunities for administrative responsibilities (such as managing an MSc) can be offered.

Remuneration / salary

The salary will be determined based on the candidates experience and qualifications in line with Excelia Business Schools remuneration system.

Financial incentives for research publications are also provided.
