Research Assistant or Associate in Machine learning and fluid-dynamics specialist
The candidate will perform quantitative assessments of a number of existing and new machine learning architectures to speed up the simulation of transient fluid flows. This will involve production of training data, achieved by conducting CFD simulations in OpenFOAM, and coding and execution of the algorithms.
You will be working to facilitate the adoption of hydrogen as a fuel, through the development of a novel software to assess the safety of hydrogen applications.
The candidate should have experience in fluid dynamics, combustion, deflagration-detonation, coding, CFD, machine learning.
Research Associate: Hold a PhD in engineering or computer science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience
Research Assistant: A first / masters degree (or equivalent) in in engineering or computer science, or a closely related discipline.
*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant.
