About the Role

The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London is looking to recruit a Research Assistant or Postdoctoral Research Assistant in AI for Music. The Centre for Digital Music has been awarded an Innovate UK grant, collaborating with a pro-audio company. The post-holder will work on lyrics generation using LLMs.

About You

Applicants must have a Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent). Applicants at the PDRA level must have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field. Candidates must have substantial knowledge in Deep/Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs) Natural Language Processing and familiarity with Generative AI especially for lyrics, poetry or prose.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time/part-time (35/ hours per week), fixed term appointment starting as soon as possible and finishing by 31 March 2025. The starting salary will be Grade 4.
