Research Assistant

£26, - £28, p.a. pro rata

Part time/fixed term - 25 hours/6 months (until 31st July )

About the Role

We are seeking a candidate, with a social sciences background, to work as a Research Assistant to support with evaluation of research impact and knowledge exchange activities. The successful candidate will work with colleagues in NTU Psychology specialising in anti-bullying and banter research, policy, and practice to evidence research impact generated by NTU Psychology.

You will conduct focus groups and interviews with school staff who have integrated NTU innovations into their school policy and practice and you will also conduct an analysis of individual school bullying prevalence data. This work will deepen our understanding of the impact NTU Psychology research is having, and help us develop a model which we can use to scale-up and scale-out the potential impact of research.

You will have excellent mixed-method research skills, as well as experience and confidence in working with a range of external professional stakeholders and research participants to collect, analyse, and present a range of data and key findings for different audiences including research outputs and REF evidence and outputs. There is an expectation that the role will involve working with a range of stakeholders and the successful candidate will be able to engage effectively with these stakeholders.
