Research Associate/ Fellow (Fixed term)

Applications are invited for the role of Research Associate/Fellow in the School of Medicine, University of Nottingham. You will be based in the Biodiscovery Institute ( with access to a range of state-of-the-art facilities. The successful applicant will be joining the Naaz-Coker Ovarian Cancer Research Centre (NOVARC); an ovarian cancer centre of excellence at the Biodiscovery Institute. A key priority for NOVARC is to train the next generation of ovarian cancer researchers. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Research Associate/Fellow to join the team.

The post will focus on investigating the mechanism of resistance to therapy in ovarian cancer and target validation studies. The project will focus on genomic and bioinformatics studies in serial clinical samples and ovarian cancer cell lines. Detailed tissue culture studies and molecular biological investigations will complement genomic studies. A proven track record in genomics research and bioinformatics is required.

This is a fixed-term post available for 24 months. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 20 hours per week).
