Research associate in computational Sensing
The post is part of a project “Sensing Beyond Barriers”. The key idea here is to exploit a co-design between hardware and algorithms to go beyond conventional barriers in digital data acquisition. The Research Associate will work on the foundational aspects of signal processing, in particular Unlimited Sensing with applications tied to the general areas of signal processing including sampling theory, reconstruction algorithms and computational imaging. Among other aspects, the key idea here is the joint design of hardware and algorithms that enable systems to go beyond conventional barriers in digital data acquisition.
The purpose of the post is to carry out research programmes in developing mathematical models, devising efficient algorithms and benchmarking the algorithms on experimental data (wherever applicable).
The Research Associate will be expected to submit publications to flagship refereed journals and to attract external research funding.
Other aspects of the post include undertaking project management, collaborate with academic and industry partners and/or supervise multi-disciplinary teams.
Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the full-time salary range £ 43,003- £ 46,297 per annum
