Research Associate in Developmental and Regenerative Biology

Publicerad 2024-12-17

We are recruiting an ambitious, self-motivated and experimentally talented Research Associate to join us in understanding the mechanisms underlying the response of neural progenitor cells to spinal cord injury in regenerative and non-regenerative species (Xenopus and mouse).

This project is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to develop skills in the latest transcriptomics and genome engineering techniques and will develop new strategies to improve outcomes after spinal cord injury The specific aims of the project are to identify regeneration-specific transcriptional trajectory leading to neurogenesis in Xenopus, and use this knowledge to promote self-repair of the spinal cord after injury in a mouse model.

The post is funded by UK Medical Research Council and is available fixed term until February 2027. Candidates must hold a PhD or expect to shortly, in a Biological discipline.
