Research Associate in Organic Photovoltaics
Are you a motivated researcher seeking to contribute to third-generation photovoltaic technologies?
We invite you to apply for a Research Associate position in the emerging field of printable organic photovoltaics.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in a stimulating research project focusing on developing and fully characterising organic semiconductors and their integration into organic photovoltaics with a power conversion efficiency of over 20%. Responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and analysing multilayer organic solar cells with different architectures.
The use of molecular dopants for improving the performance characteristics of organic materials and inorganic charge-extraction interlayers would be a key priority for the project.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of world-leading experts and work in our state-of-the-art facilities within the Henry Royce Institute at The University of Manchester.
The ideal candidate will hold or is about to obtain, a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline, with a solid foundation in organic semiconductor device physics, materials for molecular doping, materials analysis, device fabrication and solar cell characterisation.
