Applications are invited for a Research Associate in Perovskite Optoelectronic Devices to carry out research in perovskite solar cells. Research experience in chemical synthesis and device fabrication is essential. You will be expected to work well as part of a team and contribute to the supervision of research and undergraduate students, and with the management of external collaborations.
To fabricate and characterize perovskite optoelectronics devicesTo take initiatives in the planning of researchTo identify and develop suitable techniques, and apparatus, for the collection and analysis of dataTo conduct data analysisTo ensure the validity and reliability of data at all timesTo maintain accurate and complete records of all findingsTo present findings to colleagues and at conferencesTo attend relevant workshops and conferences as necessaryTo promote the reputation of the Group, the Department and the CollegeTo provide guidance to PhD StudentsTo conduct and plan own scientific work with appropriate supervision.To maintain highly organised and accurate record of experimental workTo publish in high quality journals and to present data at meetingsTo contribute to the smooth running of the Group’s laboratories. Hold, or near completion of, a PhD in Chemistry, Physics or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experiencePractical experience in processing of solar cell devicesPractical experience in synthetic chemistryKnowledge of solar cell materials and semiconductorsKnowledge of techniques used to characterize the performance of solar cell devicesA proven publication track record commensurate with career stage.
